Tried two dishes from here and really enjoyed it. And really, a place called "Yougot" is just so entertaining, how can you not try it? It's predominantly northern Chinese cooking which means it'll be spicy! Tried this breaded spicy deep fried pork dish that was covered with dried chili pepper flakes. It's akin to those dry ribs you see on all appetizer menus everywhere except these are not on the bone and super tasty. Yes, it's fried but it wasn't very greasy. Also, I didn't find it too spicy but I have a high threshold. This dish is a great starter especially if you enjoy it with a nice cold beer!
The second dish was small cut up chicken breast meat that was breaded with an egg batter and other flavourings. It came with this side of seasoning powder that tasted like five spice to me...I preferred the dish on its own but the five spice added another element. This was not a spicy dish.
We only did take out so I can't comment too much on service and such but the decor was clean and neatly decorated. I remember dining in this location years ago when it was a Croatian restaurant - the decor was very outdated. I think Yougot took up a smaller portion of the original space so it's a tiny place, there's probably about 6-8 tables (fitting 4 each).
It's in a weird location that's not easy to find. It's wedged between two other businesses (a gallery and laundry place) in this small building on Pembina. Going southbound on Pembina, it's past McGillivray and if you see a funeral home, then you're in the right area. The restaurant is right before that funeral home. -

Gross outside with weeds, garbage and cigarette butts all over the place, not exactly inviting. Got to the door and turned around and left. Yuk!

Not overally impressed. Very limited menu and this is suppose to be northern Chinese which means spicy. It's the same as any low quality Chinese restaurant. Ordered the egg plant which was okay, also ordered the hot pot, which was its "best seller". It was terrible. Huge chunks of tofu and span. Service was "whatever" waitress played candy crush on her phone loudly and picked her teeth. Wouldn't go back!

A colleague and I tried this place based on an old newspaper review and it was great! We tried just three dishes (and the portions were huge). The menu is expansive so it will take awhile to work through it and I definitely intend to be back. Food was freshly cooked, very flavourful. Two of our items had great spicy heat.
It is a small space with maybe six tables but our meal arrived quickly.
